The Surat Fire Brigade—under the Fire & Emergency Services Department of Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC)—has a legacy dating back to 1852. Since coming under SMC control in 1966, it responds to an average of 2,200 emergencies annually—ranging from fires and rescues to natural disasters—under the motto: “We Serve to Save.” suratmunicipal.gov.in

  • Firefighting across municipal limits (free of charge)
  • Rescue during floods, earthquakes, and other disasters
  • Issuing Fire NOCs and safety certificates (valid for 2 years)
  • Ambulance & dead body van services
