
🔋 Gujarat State Electric Vehicle (EV) Policy & Subsidy – 2025 Guide
The Government of Gujarat is taking major steps toward eco-friendly transportation by encouraging the use of Electric Vehicles (EVs). Through its Electric Vehicle Subsidy Scheme, residents of Gujarat can now avail financial assistance for purchasing electric two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and four-wheelers.
All applications are processed online via the Digital Gujarat Portal.
✅ Who is Eligible?
- Must be a resident of Gujarat.
- Should have purchased a new electric vehicle (EV):
- Electric Two-Wheeler (e-bike/scooter) – up to ₹1.5 lakh
- Electric Three-Wheeler – up to ₹5 lakh
- Electric Four-Wheeler – up to ₹15 lakh
- Vehicle must be bought from an authorized dealer.

- Registration Fee: Waived for EVs in Gujarat
- Road Tax: Reduced to 1% from 6%
- Subsidy Mode: Direct Bank Transfer (DBT)
- Charging Infrastructure: Over 528 charging stations across the state are planned
📥 How to Apply (Online Process)
- Visit the official Digital Gujarat Portal.
- Register/login as a Citizen.
- Navigate to Services → Transport & Vehicles → E-Vehicle Subsidy.
- Fill in your personal and vehicle details.
- Upload scanned copies of:
- Vehicle RC Book
- Aadhaar Card
- Purchase invoice
- Bank passbook (for DBT)
- Submit the application and track status via the portal.
🕒 Timeline
- Application Window: Within 3 months of purchase
- Subsidy Disbursement: Usually processed within 30–45 working days after approval
